IKONO CHAIR

The inspiration comes from the popular and iconic midcentury circle chair. In the words of Claudia & Harry Washington, “our purpose was finding inspiration from admiration.” To reinterpret the overall aesthetic without loosing its timeless characteristic was the initial criteria, but additional inspiration came from working together with basket weaving artisans to develop the intricate, yet delicate weaving of the seat and backrest.
